The goal of this project was to design for fringe users as an exploration into accessibility issues. I focused on the need for contactless transactions during the COVID-19 pandemic. This modular locker system can be adapted for individuals, businesses, housing communities, and universities and brings together the best of parcel lockers, smart mailboxes, and delivery services to limit contact during a time of skyrocketing online marketplace sales, and food and package deliveries.
These lockers allow are customizable, can be bought or rented, and allow for contactless buying/selling/delivery. They remove the need for coordinating schedules, have a doorbell & porch cam for security and to prevent parcel theft, can be accessed anywhere via phone app, and accepts cash and interact transactions.
